Laser Gynaecology Clinic

Mateja Vukmanič Pohar, MD, Specialist in Gynaecology and Obstetrics, is currently employed at Brežice General Hospital, where she works in both surgical and outpatient gynaecology.

She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana, in 2004. She then continued her professional training with a five-year specialisation in gynaecology and obstetrics at the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics and the Maternity Hospital at the University Medical Centre Ljubljana.

In 2011, she completed her specialist training and passed the specialist examination in gynaecology and obstetrics with distinction.

She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka, in 1999. Since 2002, she has been employed at Novo Mesto General Hospital. After passing the specialist examination at the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the University Medical Centre Ljubljana in 2009, she has worked as a Specialist in Gynaecology and Obstetrics at Novo Mesto General Hospital.

She specialises in urogynaecology, including comprehensive diagnostic assessment and urodynamic studies, as well as conservative treatment methods for urinary incontinence and pelvic floor disorders, including physiotherapy, electrical stimulation and laser therapy. She also provides surgical treatment for a range of other gynaecological conditions.

She is trained in endoscopic surgery, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, as well as vaginal surgical techniques and conventional abdominal surgery. Her expertise also includes obstetric procedures and deliveries, gynaecological and obstetric ultrasound, including detailed ultrasound assessment of fetal morphology.
