History

The story of Aristotel Health Centre started 12.234 days ago.

1998

Aristotel, zdravstveni center, d. o. o., has been operating since 1998.

The company is registered to provide primary and specialist outpatient healthcare services.

At the start of its operations, it obtained a concession from the Municipality of Krško for the provision of general practice services and received authorization from the Ministry of Health to perform both general and specialist healthcare activities, including occupational, traffic and sports medicine as its main activity. At that time, the company employed three staff members on a full-time basis. The premises were rented at Aškerčeva 1 in Krško.

1999

Authorization from the Ministry of Health for the provision of workers’ healthcare

At the end of 1999, the company obtained the permit from the Ministry of Health to provide health care to workers working with ionising radiation sources or in areas exposed to ionising radiation, and began conducting examinations of Krško Nuclear Power Plant subcontractors (an authorisation only five Slovenian institutions possess).

2001

Concession for another general medicine clinic.

In 2001, the company obtained an additional concession for another general practice clinic.

It employed four additional staff members. Within the scope of occupational medicine, it was granted authorization to carry out medical examinations to assess health fitness for firearm possession and carrying, as well as for drivers.

2002-2003

The company expanded its occupational, traffic, and sports medicine activities and, in 2002, took over the on-site clinic of Revoz d.d., opened a branch office for occupational, traffic, and sports medicine in Novo mesto, employed three staff members, and transformed into a clinic that remains open to external users to this day. In the same year, it also established a clinical psychology clinic.

In 2003, the company obtained authorization from the Ministry of Health to use an X-ray device for bone mass measurement, purchased a state-of-the-art DEXA scanner, and launched a private outpatient clinic for osteoporosis, the first of its kind in the Posavje region."

2008 – 2009

In 2008, the company launched a private Ultrasound clinic and purchased the most advanced Philips ultrasound device available at the time. This was the first private ultrasound clinic in the Posavje region.

In 2009, a private Cardiology clinic was established, primarily to provide cardiac stress testing and echocardiography to support occupational, traffic, and sports medicine.

2012

At the beginning of 2012, based on newly established legislation in Slovenia, the company was among the first private laboratories to obtain authorization from the Ministry of Health for conducting medical biochemistry tests.

In the same year, the company also received authorization from the Ministry of Health to perform medical examinations for drivers after license revocation, as well as authorization from the Slovenian Traffic Safety Agency to conduct educational and psychosocial workshops for the Dolenjska and Posavje regions. It also became a training institution for secondary healthcare education and employed a resident in occupational, traffic, and sports medicine. Furthermore, the company joined the Posavje Scholarship Scheme and awarded three scholarships: one to a medical student, one to a student of radiology engineering, and one to a student of nursing.

2013 – 2014

In 2013, the company obtained authorization from the Ministry of Health for two reference clinics with the aim of providing preventive care in both family medicine practices.

In 2014, the company launched a private neurology clinic. At the end of the same year, it expanded its activities by purchasing Foton’s most advanced laser for performing surgical, gynecological, and aesthetic dermatology procedures (treatments). The company also began developing a Workplace Health Promotion program and partnered with a wide range of experts in ergonomics, kinesiotherapy, dietetics, clinical psychology, and addiction treatment.

2015

In 2015, the company introduced three new private outpatient clinics (thyroid diseases, laser surgery, and laser gynecology) and employed a resident in occupational, traffic, and sports medicine.

The company holds the status of a mentoring institution for the specialization training of doctors in occupational, traffic, and sports medicine as well as family medicine.

In 2015, based on the business results of the previous three years and the evaluation by Bisnode d.o.o., the company received the Golden Creditworthiness Certificate of Excellence. On the Ibon portal, it was awarded the highest possible credit rating of 10.

2016 – 2018

In 2016, two new private outpatient clinics began operating within the healthcare center – a Medical Aesthetics clinic and an Orthopedics clinic. That same year, the company successfully completed the construction of its own modern premises and moved in November. By the end of the year, a pain management clinic and acupuncture services also started operating.

In 2017, Jelena Raković, dr.med. specialist in family medicine, successfully completed her specialization and began registering patients.

In 2018, the company expanded its services with a private ENT clinic. At the end of the year, the Municipality of Krško granted Aristotel a concession for a third family medicine clinic.

In 2018, the company was nominated for the 'Gazela 2018' Award for the Dolenjska and Posavje regions.

In addition, every year, based on its business results and evaluations by Bisnode d.o.o., the company has consistently received the Golden Creditworthiness Certificate of Excellence.

2019 - 2020

In 2019, the company signed a contract addendum with the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia to provide healthcare services, thereby securing funding for the third family medicine clinic.

In May 2019, Aristotel was recognized as one of the three Slovenian companies listed in the Global Talent Competitiveness Index (GTCI) for Central and Eastern Europe. As a result, the selected companies became partners of the Adecco Group, contributing with their business practices to the success of the entire region.

In 2020, the company was awarded the Platinum Creditworthiness Certificate of Excellence, a symbol of outstanding credit rating excellence.

2021

For many years, the company has been part of the Posavje Scholarship Scheme, through which it awards scholarships. In the 2021/2022 academic year, eight active scholarship contracts were in place for medical and physiotherapy students. The company also holds the status of a mentoring institution for internship and specialization training in occupational, traffic and sports medicine, as well as family medicine.

For the fifth consecutive year, including 2021, the company received the Award of Excellence granted by Triglav Health Insurance Company to its top healthcare providers. Aristotel is also a recipient of the highest recognition awarded by Vzajemna Health Insurance.

In 2021, our family doctor, Željko Pleša, was awarded the honorary title of 'My Family Doctor' under the auspices of Viva, the portal for better living.

The company has been led by the same director since its establishment. The ownership structure changed following the death of a co-owner in 2009, when the shares were transferred to heirs. In 2021, the ownership structure changed again, as Vzajemna Health Insurance entered with a 51% share.

For the second consecutive year, the company received the Platinum Creditworthiness Certificate of Excellence, a symbol of outstanding credit rating excellence.

2022

On the occasion of the Krško Municipality holiday in 2022, Aristotel d.o.o. received the Municipal Award at the ceremonial academy for its achievements and the successful and high-quality work carried out during the epidemic.

The company continues its successful path of receiving honorary titles and recognitions. It was awarded the title Partner of Superior Quality 2022 by Varuh zdravja, and also received the Award of Excellence and the title Ambassador of Excellence from Triglav Zdravje for 2022. Once again, it was ranked among the most reliable Slovenian business entities, entitled to use the Platinum Creditworthiness Certificate of Excellence as a symbol of outstanding financial reliability.

A new, third outpatient clinic for occupational, traffic, and sports medicine was opened in Krško. Our resident, Dr. Sara Masnik, successfully passed the specialist examination and obtained her license to work independently in occupational, traffic, and sports medicine.

The company also received a decision from the Civil Aviation Agency authorizing it to carry out medical examinations for pilots, which will be conducted by Dr. Sara Masnik, specialist in occupational, traffic, and sports medicine.

In addition, the company expanded its activities by opening a new surgical-proctology clinic and by resuming the provision of healthcare services in its pain management clinic.

2023

We successfully completed the process of extending the concessions for all three family medicine clinics until 2040.

In May, the company purchased a neighboring building (the former Jesenšek Inn), which is currently undergoing major renovation. The facility will be dedicated to MRI diagnostics, administrative offices, and will also feature a café on the ground floor.

2024

In May, the renovated neighboring building was officially inaugurated, with its most important addition being the MRI unit. The company’s administration also relocated to the refurbished facility, which includes a café on the ground floor.

The company obtained authorization from the Ministry of Health to perform specialist outpatient radiology services (MRI diagnostics).

A new family medicine clinic was opened, led by Dr. Maks Pečar, a family medicine resident.

In October, the first ENT surgical procedures for adenoid and tonsil removal were successfully carried out.

Dr. Sara Masnik, specialist in occupational, traffic, and sports medicine, who in 2022 had already been licensed to conduct medical examinations for aviation personnel and parachutists (LAPL and Class 2), obtained additional authorization to carry out medical examinations for Class 1 and Class 3 (pilots and air traffic controllers) as well as certification to examine parachutists.
