What exactly is urology?
Urology is known as the medical science that deals with both diagnosing and treating disorders of the reproductive organs, primarily in men. Urology exams serve to diagnose urinary issues and disorders in both men and women in order to determine further treatment. Urinary disorders, bladder inflammation, frequent and painful urination, and urination issues occur in both men and women.

Short description of possible urologic conditions
Acute prostatitis
Acute prostatitis is the inflammation of the prostate gland, characterised by a sudden onset. Urination becomes difficult and painful, and the infections is sometimes accompanied by urinary retention and an increased body temperature (above 38 degrees Celsius). This condition is usually caused by bacteria and exposure to low temperatures, or excessive alcohol consumption. During the exam, we usually identify a soft and very painful prostate, and subsequently recommend appropriate treatment based on the examination.
Prostate cancer
Today, prostate cancer is one of the most common malignant tumours in men. Its incidence increases with age and is also associated with family history. Prostate cancer is not associated with any specific symptoms. Most cancers develop slowly. The risk of developing cancer increases with age.
