ENT Clinic

Peter Hudoklin, MD, Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana, in 2004. Shortly afterwards, he began his medical internship at Novo Mesto General Hospital.

He began specialist training in general surgery in 2005, before changing his specialisation to otorhinolaryngology in 2007.

He completed his specialist training in otorhinolaryngology at Novo Mesto General Hospital, University Medical Centre Maribor, and University Medical Centre Ljubljana. Given the proximity and strong tradition of Croatian otorhinolaryngology, he also undertook professional training at two of Zagreb’s leading ENT centres, University Hospital Centre Zagreb (Rebro) and University Hospital Centre Sestre milosrdnice (Vinogradska).

He further developed his expertise in surgery of the nose and paranasal sinuses during a one-month professional placement with Prof. Nicolai in Brescia, Italy.

Since 2012, he has been working as a Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Novo Mesto General Hospital.

After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana, in 2015, he initially worked in a general family medicine practice at the Šentvid Community Health Centre, where he gained valuable experience in the comprehensive care of patients. He then continued his specialist training in otorhinolaryngology at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Surgery at the University Medical Centre Ljubljana. He passed the specialist examination in otorhinolaryngology in 2020.

He has developed particular expertise in head and neck cancer surgery. His additional professional training has included placements in Amsterdam and Barcelona, as well as advanced training in reconstructive surgery in Taipei. He is currently continuing his postgraduate education through a doctoral programme in Biomedical Engineering.

As a dedicated athlete, he has a particular interest in the ENT-related conditions and challenges experienced by divers and other athletes, with a focus on disorders affecting the ears, nose, and throat.
