The main advantages of the Stockholm3 test include:

a reduction of unnecessary prostate biopsies by as much as 50% and other diagnostics (such as prostate MRI),

a lower likelihood of detecting clinically insignificant prostate cancers that do not require active treatment,

a higher probability of early detection of aggressive forms of prostate cance
A negative Stockholm3 test, when combined with a negative prostate MRI, has a 94% negative predictive value. In such a case, the patient can avoid undergoing an invasive prostate biopsy.
The test is already established in Western European countries as a new reference method for the management of men with suspected prostate cancer and is included in the guidelines of the European Association of Urology (EAU) as well as the American Urological Association (AUA), further confirming its clinical value and reliability.
