Thyroid examination and ultrasound

An ultrasound scan can help identify if the thyroid is healthy or not, i.e., if hormonal imbalances or nodular changes can be ruled out. Most are familiar with the basic thyroid disease symptoms: tiredness, morning sleepiness, weight gain or loss with normal or reduced appetite, slow or quick heart rate, hair loss, dry skin, reduced libido, etc.

Not so commonly known is that the thyroid also profoundly impacts the heart function, metabolism, and our daily activity.
