Poor eating habits are a major risk factor for the development of chronic infectious conditions, such as cardiovascular disease, musculoskeletal disorders, diabetes, obesity, and many others. Efforts to ensure that workers have access to healthy food at work are for the purpose of maintaining and/or improving workers' health and well-being, and to reduce health risks connected to poor nutrition. Consequently, all of this contributes to improved work productivity.
